Arsenal op bezoek bij Spurs in Carling Cup

In de Carling Cup namen de twee Londense clubs het voor laatst in 2008 tegen elkaar op. Toen bereikte Tottenham Hotspur de finale dankzij een 5-1 zege in eigen huis. Manchester United begint de verdediging van de bekertitel tegen Scunthorpe uit het Championship.

Daarnaast treft Aston Villa Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea neemt het op tegen Newcastle United, Fulham reist af naar Stoke en West Bromwich Albion speelt tegen Manchester City. Sunderland en West Ham United treffen elkaar, terwijl Liverpool in eigen huis speelt tegen Northampton.
