Gemengde reacties op Van Bommel-exit: 'Het interview zal nu wel niet doorgaan..'
Mark van Bommel heeft het slechts dertien wedstrijden volgehouden als hoofdtrainer van VfL Wolfsburg, dat zondag zijn ontslag bevestigde. In Duitsland denkt men dat Van Bommel veel krediet heeft ingeleverd om zijn wisselblunder.
Na slechts vier maanden zit het er al op voor Van Bommel, die zo goed begon in de competitie, maar de afgelopen acht wedstrijden niet wist te winnen. Desondanks vindt menigeen het ontslag wel erg snel.
A few people who I really respect in the German game told me the subs gaffe (used one too many) in the Preußen Münster Pokal tie was always going to mean van Bommel was up against it, if WOB had an indifferent start. Maybe not directly his fault but didn’t look good.

Wolfsburg have sacked Mark van Bommel. Always been an odd choice by Schmadtke. The results in the last few weeks and the substitution mistake in the DFB Pokal leave the club with no other choice.
